using my mogul as a INTERNET connection

If I change my network connection to "sprint PCS" instead of "use phone as a modem" my laptop is able to connect to the INTERNET. I am will not connect if I use the "phone as a modem" setting? Will I be charged by sprint using the "Sprint PCS" as a connection if I have the unlimited plan? Thanks for the help!

Re: using my mogul as a INTERNET connection

not quite sure. My gut feeling is that if you don't go overboard with the usage (greater than 5 gb/mn) and also use the NAI hack mentioned elsewhere here, then you will get by. No one else has say anything else....

There's a registry key under HKLM -> Comm -> Internet Sharing
Look for the extension key and delete it, and no u shouldn't be charged...

you will need a registry editor, personally i use dotFred's Task Mgr/Reg Editor
if you search around you'll find threads like this one that reference other registy editor
that thread also includes the location of the extention key,
the location of the new key introduced w/ the newest roms
and the third key which is irrelavent (it just shows what your last connection was)

Note: That thread is located in the 'vogue' forum, however the concept/registry keys still apply

Use Mogul's Internet For Your Laptop With Regular Internet Phone Price

Yes you will get charged by using that
Ok here is what I have done so far and never had a problem with it
get Resco explorer
Then go to programs and open Resco Registry

In "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing" delete the string value named "Extension".

In "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WModem" set the "CheckProfile", "Multi-NAI" and "WModemDUN" DWORDS to a decimal value of "0"

you should not have any more problem

File Type: zip Resco Explorer 2007 For Pocket-PC.zip (816.7 KB, 27 views) Click for barcode!

Re: Use Mogul's Internet For Your Laptop With Regular Internet Phone Price

so you want to use your moguls data connection, and tether it to your laptop to get internet right? Just get wmwifirouter. It's a program that lets you do all that, but wirelessly (turns your phone into a wifi router, so you can connect to it from your laptop).
