Titan video on PC with sound?

Here's a quick one. Sorry if I missed it in a past thread.

What do you have to do to get your videos playing on your PC with sound? When I copy the videos taken with my PPC over to my desktop, I can barely play them. VLC plays them with no sound but that's about it. What codec do you need to play (and subsequently re-encode) your PPC-shot videos?

Re: Titan video on PC with sound?

I believe quicktime plays them, but I hate quicktime. I would like to get them to play on Windows Media Player.

Re: Titan video on PC with sound?

They do not play with sound with QT Alternative. I won't install Quicktime if I can help it and nothing else plays it or will let me recode. It's kind of annoying. VLC works OK if I don't need audio but it seems stupid for a Windows Mobile phone to require Quicktime to play back off the device. There should be a codec or program that allows me to convert to a standard mpeg or avi file.

Do a google search for 321 Media player classic, it should have all the codec's you need for whatever your trying to play. It opens and plays my video's just find hope that helps you.

Re: Titan video on PC with sound?

Do you need to send your videos in messages from your phone? The reason only quicktime will play your videos is because they're being recorded as .3g2 files, some absurd format. If you go to the settings from the camera app, you can make the phone record in AVI or MPEG, which any program will play. In fact, windows mobile more natively supports these than 3g2, but because the phone is a phone as well it has to support that format to allow sending via mms.

Nope. I just want to be able to do more with my Mogul-shot videos than look at them on the phone. What if I want to share them on youtube or just email them to someone? I've tried VLC (got video only) and a few others but have never had any luck. The fact that it plays with the WMP on the phone but not with any media player on the desktop is really annoying. I wouldn't even mind if I had to transcode it but I would need the proper codec and program to do that.

Re: Titan video on PC with sound?

why not change the video setting to Motion JPEG. That will play on the standard WMP.
