How do I make my HTC Mogul PPC6800 play more video file types????

Okay guys I just got my brand new HTC Mogul PPC6800 from Sprint 2 days ago it has ROM Version 3.35.651.2 already installed out the box =D>. I like to watch videos streaming and off the memory card but youtube videos don't work and it seems like it only plays videos if they are windows media files. Is there a video codec pack or something to make it play more file types like MPEG, AVI, DIVX, OGM, ETC...

If so can someone help me out???

Have you checked this out. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...t=FULL+YOUTUBE If that doesn't work you will need a better video player. I am sure you can do a search and find quite a bit of info on this subject.

thanks for responding so fast, I have looked around and have read a few people talking about different video players for it, but which one is better and do I download them straight to the phone, or to my PC and sync it with the phone

You should be able to download straight from your PPC. Give it a try and let me know if that works or not. If not, I will try to find some alternative routes for you.

I use "TCPMP" and the "Flash Video bundle" to play Youtube videos. You can even download Youtube videos & and set it to play AVI,DIVX,MPEG1 & MPEG4 file formats. The search engine is your friend.

I use the same. I can't get videos to play without being choppy on windows media player. TCPMP works but you have to change the video driver in the settings

I use the same. I can't get videos to play without being choppy on windows media player. TCPMP works but you have to change the video driver in the settings to play smooth. Pocket DIVX encoder works well to convert your existing videos to around 200 mbs/video so you can fit a few on a large memory card.
