Re: Cant Answer calls:(
Just to elaborate on a couple things to narrow this down. I use ILauncher and in the settings i have the "X" close apps instead of minimizing. I also have used the settings tweaks to stop Activesynch from running at all times (this one still seems to sneak in every once in a while though).

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
no one has an idea? just somewhere i could start looking?
Radio rom? New Dialer? (and if dialer, is there a guide?) |

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
Ive now updated the rom to 3.42, and still no dice. Ive searched and cant seem to find the default dialer in hopes i could reinstal it.
Could icontact have anything to do with it (does it have to load with the dialer)? Im likely grasping at straws but im getting fairly desperate now... |

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
Did you try a hard reset? Installing your software one by one until you find the culprit? That happened to me a while ago thats what i did to fix it.

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
Alright so i have now hard reset like 4 times to figure this out, but it seems its my email settings that are causing this.
I do have them set to check email every 5 minutes, but AFAIK this should only effect battery usage. What kills me however is its ONLY when my phone has been off for a good while and the call "wakes" it. Ive set my ring time Cycle to 0. Ive seen a few threads concerning poeple not GETTING calls in sleep mode on the 6900. and poeple Suggest changing the registry sleep mode to 0 (cant remmeber whole key) but i also read this actualy changes the phone to not sleep while in calls. Anyhow all help appreciated, thanks again |

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
I've had this issue pretty much since upgrading to the stock 3.35 ROM. For me, any app (and/or today plug-in) that 'grabs' for internet access can cause this. If the phone's asleep, as soon as it's turned on or a call wakes it, the offending app grabs a data connection to update, and the radio dosen't release it fast enough to answer the call.
The default timeout for an idle data connection is 10 mins. If you're checking every 5, it's likely that you're constantly connected. I'm hopeing the new ROM/Radio address this, but I'm waiting. Mean time, I've disabled "as new mail arrives" on my Mail2Web exchange account. I have GPS Today, but set it never to connect automatically. The only other items on my today screen are SPB time, and a radio (BT/Phone/WiFi) toggler that I forget the name of... also check your startup folder for anything that autoloads and updates. I installed SPB's GPRS Monitor a while back 'cause I was curious of my data usage, left it installed as it has a handy 'connect' button on the status screen. Hope this helps. Crossing my fingers for 3.59

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
So if i am reading you right...simply having the TIME updated via the connection would cause this?
And if thats the case, i can live with my time not synching, how do i turn it off? Also, i cant think of why iLauncher would need a connection, could this be doing it? |

Re: Cant Answer calls:(
I am having the same issue and am trying to narrow it down. I have noticed that when GPS in turned on the calls often lock up the phone. I suspect Turnkeys is right in that Today screen items that grab the connection could be part of the problem. I use Ilauncher as a today plugin but don't think that's the issue as I've had it for two years and only recently started having this problem.
