you guys rock!

help. trying to hide or get rid of start bar, ie. full screen today screen.

or

disable text message icon, just flashing light or sound.

disabled show message , but icon will still appear and if you press then you can see the message.

any help? thanks C

Start>settings>sounds and notifications.
Within that screen you can disable/enable the message to display on the screen, flashing light, and sound. Cant help you with the start bar though.

thanks slvrap1. i have got that.
what I want is the icon in the start bar to not show up.
just a sound that something has come in.

even with disable on screen, the icon still will come up on the start bar, which in turn can be pushed and message seen.

any other help?

I have seen some today screens with no start bar, can anyone help?

VJTodayToggle - does top and bottom bars.

dcinobar.exe will do the bottom bar only, but will allow the bottom bar to reappear when programs are running (anytime you're not on the Today screen).

There is also a program called SkinMobile that will let you skin the top bar. That way you don't lose its functionality.

i got VJTodayToggle to work today. works great. set up the toggle on a soft key for easy switch.
