Angry Multiple text messages

Since I've upgraded to the newest rom, i've had issues with people receiving multiple copies of the same text. i can't figure out where to look to figure this out. is this a problem with the new rom, sprint, or my phone!?

any tips before i clear everything and hard reset???

Re: Multiple text messages

are you using a program to handle your sms's? like the palm threaded sms? are you in a frills area with low coverage?

Re: Multiple text messages

This happens from time to time, as it is a network error most likely.

Re: Multiple text messages

This issue is because a semicolon ';' is not being added after each name, which you will have to input manually to send to multiple recipients

first off thanks everyone for the replies.

i am using "codyppc threaded sms" to handle my texts. it worked great before i updated to the new rom. i did not have the problem with duplicates before i updated, so the coverage shouldn't be an issue, unless a tower went down, but my bars seem to be fine. (san diego)

can it be an issue with that program? is there another alternative? i think 6.1 has it built in? it's not currently in the official sprint rom right?

i read that too online when i was trying to research. something about the network not returning receive messages so the network sends out another. this is happening way too often however to not be an issue. seriously, it's like every other text or so. actually, it seems like it sends my previous text when i send a new one. ???????

Re: Multiple text messages

the codyppc threaded sms has that problem. it's a known issue. if you delete that you'll notice a drastic decrease in the amount of messages that do that.

I had that same problem with Cody's SMS also... and I don't have WM 6.1

Someone mentioned that it was a bug in the software that caused it to send multiple messages when the application was opened and closed while the middle of a background send. So if you just minimize the program into the background instead of closing it right after sending a text you should see this happening less and less.
