Sprint: Woohoo! EvDo in Lynchburg, VA

Finally, Sprint/nTelos has added EvDo support to Lynchburg VA. It was activated either yesterday (24th) or today (25th).

Life is so much better with my Mogul. Running DCD's 3.2 (although will probably switch to No2Chem's new one when available) and don't need to worry about missing calls because I am using the internet.

Yeah its about time. I've almosted hated everyone on here talking about their rev a is slow and my evdo isn't fast enough. Here we've been stuck in 1x land forever. Have you tested your speeds yet one of my friends at the Sprint store says its rev a?

When I test from DSL Reports from the phone, I am getting 800Kbps. Tethered to my laptop I get 1Mbps down, 800Kbps up. I am certainly happy.

Frustrating that it took as long as it did, but at least it is finally here. I think one of the big holdbacks is that Sprint doesn't own our area, nTelos does. nTelos (I have heard) then leases it to Sprint for service.

congrats guys. Where I work I have evdo, but I only have 1x at home. I am not going to complain though because I can connect to one of my neighbors wireless. I hope they don't password protect it now.
