Active sync tries to auto sync everything to my phone

I have just flashed to the newest sprint official rom. it looks as if you have to set up a new partnership everytime you flash, (why is this?) anyway, when I go in to set up the partnership it tries to sync MY ENTIRE PIC/AUDIO/VIDEO LIbrary to my phone. this by far exceeds the 4 gig card I have. Im a major newb, Ive run a search on this forum, but I have not found anything like my problem. (I have reset computer and mogul both) any help would be MUCH appreciated
