I can't stand it anymore....whats the best extended battery out there????

Well I know its been asked alot on here but i just wanted to get the most up to date answer......what is the best extended battery out there....I dont care about adding size to the phone I just need more power. I am running the newest stock rom and I use skyfire and I stream sirius satelite radio for about 8 hrs a day. Is there a battery out there that can handle that? How about the 3500mah seidio?

http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=998

Also did i kill my original battery by charging it with a motorola charger instead of the original one? How about keeping it plugged in all day.....that aint good right? How long does your battery last? Well I really appreciate any of your help on here.....

well its a lithium battery so no thats not a good idea. with lithium batteries you have to drain the battery completely before charging it completely again. once it is charged completely unplug it and repeat the process. the battery actually gets better as you do this and the lifespan of it will increase overtime

never thought about this, but does it have any effect on the battery life if u use a different charger? I am using the charger i had for my T-Mobile MDA, not the one that came with my mogul. is that bad?

WTF?

Where do you come up with this #(%&?

Ni-Cd, or Nickel Cadmium batteries, are prone to the 'memory effect', not Ni-Mh (Nickel Metal Hydride) or lithium ion/lithium polymer....

Completely discharging and charging your phone is not necessary, and will actually decrease battery life expectancy, as batteries have a limited number of recharge cycles then they lose capacity , and will eventually stop working.

As far as the charger goes, as long as it provides a regulated 5VDC with enough amperage, (500 ma is your standard USB port, and it charges off that) 500ma to 1A, you should be golden. There's internal circuitry to prevent overcharging of the battery.

with li-ion batteries you actually want to keep them at a constant top off.

Basically, whenever you have a chance, charge it.

EDIT: also as to the charger. The Motorola mini-usb charger is a universal charger. I have used the charger from my bluetooth headset to charge my mogul. It is a standard charger that is put out. so whenever you see that kind of charger, it is 90 percent safe to assume it's fine to use. Always read first if you arent sure.

again, not to pick on u. it's nice to see your so willing to help.
the above have been addressed, so I won't go there..

Just wanted to let everyone know that (knocking on some wood) I've never had an issue with a charger frying a lithium battery. I've used just about every $5 (chepo's) car charger, and oem ac charger. the phone and battery are supposed to have overcharge protection enabled...

back to the op's ?
if you want the best & biggest go with the sedio or mugen battery

Re: I can't stand it anymore....whats the best extended battery out there????

I dunno about spending $70 on a 3000mah battery when a 2400mah battery costs roughly $15-$20 on fleabay couple that with a desktop battery charger (on fleabay) and you can rotate between batteries instead of using a charger. (ie $20 X 2 for two batteries + ~$20 for desktop charger = ~ $60) for a killer setup. heck add your OEM to the mix and you have 3 batteries to rotate between!
