Custom Status Icons
 

I was just wondering.

How can you change the status icons on the top bar?

I know they are in a DLL in the windows directory, but I don't know which one, and I don't know how to edit them.

I highlighted the icons I'm talking about in the following attachment.

Does anyone have any ideas?

im not sure exactly what ur trying to change them to..but if u havent ever tried wisbar u might wanna look into it...it allows u 2 change certain status icons and they have several didnt theme types and set ups actually...might wanna do a search for it..maybe this helps maybe this doesnt...if u search hard enough or know where 2 look...u can find it free

I've had Wisbar before and it does quite a bit more than what I'm interested in.

Plus it takes up a significant amount of memory.

All I'm really looking to do is replace those icons with some of my own.

In order to do so, I need to know where to find the icons, how to extract them from the DLL, and then how to recompile them into the DLL format.

If anyone can help me with any of this I'd greatly appreciate it.

I know Colonel started doing some of this and I've sent him two PM's but he hasn't responded to either of them.

Be patient with colonel...he's an elder in these parts....LOL....anyways, id love to see the outcome of this post....im really interested in changing my icons as well, without using some bloated program like wisbar

Well the first PM was close to three weeks ago and the second was several days ago so I'm trying my best to be patient.

I do realize how busy he is with something like 3 or more forums that he gives help to, along with his day job and personal life.

I am in no way trying to infringe upon those things, just wondering if he could spare a little bit of insight on the subject to start me on my way. ;)
