Kickstand for my Mogul

Hi guys....just thought I'd share a little idea I had. I made a kickstand out of aluminum which is very light weight. I machined it up and attached with 3M double sided tape. The kickstand has constant tension at the hinge so it can be adjusted at any angle and it will support the weight of the phone with no problem. It sits rock solid for watching videos or what ever. It is pretty thin and has it's thickest point at the hinge area. It fits tight in the stock 6800 leather case that came with the phone but slides in really nice with my old 6700 case that has the elastic sides.

All in all I'm very happy with it. I have included a couple of pictures.

That looks great. I bet you could sell that for a good $5-10 bucks.
And I would like to see how the bent paperclip works.

Looks cool! I've been trying to think about how to make a car mount for my Mogul, for GPS use. Maybe from coathanger wire...I don't care about it looking ghetto

I bought a Bracketron mounting device from Best Buy it's pretty cool. I just use it for GPS purpose though.

Re: Kickstand for my Mogul

sl8763.........I bought a mount on eBay that just clips to your air vent fins. The mount itself has rubber pads inside and it holds the mogul by pressure from the sides which release when you want to take it out. I think I paid five bucks for it. Works well!

Re: Kickstand for my Mogul

As for a car mount, I bought a little universal magnetic clip from Big Lot's for around $3. It's a metal disc with double sided tape that attaches to the back of my Mogul (almost flat), and a magnet with a button to push it apart. This works perfectly, and isn't noticeable in my pocket.
