WMWiFiRouter allow tethering without charge?

Quick question:

Does WMWiFiRouter allow tethering without charge with Sprint like PDANet does?

Yes... WMWifiRouter just enables your device to act as a wireless router for your PC to connect through.. all that happens here is you'll rack up air-time data usage, but Sprint (or VZW, or any carrier) will think you are just using your device to surf the web..

i love using WMWifiRouter while at work, to get to those web sites that my company blocks.....

Re: WMWiFiRouter allow tethering without charge?

Thanks a lot! I was searching in a big WMWiFiRouter thread but the question I posed had went unanswered. Great to know that I can now use the Mogul as a router!

yep. absolutely.. it's a great program ! just be sure to have your phone on a/c power if you plan on using WMWifi for an extended period of time.. it really takes a toll on your battery....

Re: WMWiFiRouter allow tethering without charge?

Sorry to bump this, but Nickles, do you know if using WMWifi is faster than if tether via bluetooth, or are they roughly the same? I'd figure it is faster since bluetooth 2.0 isn't close to Wireless G

Re: WMWiFiRouter allow tethering without charge?

since bluetooth 2.0 supposedly provides up to 2.1mbits of transmission speed, the internet should be just as fast whether using bluetooth or wmwifirouter.

Re: WMWiFiRouter allow tethering without charge?

You can even connect to XBox live with WMWiFiRouter (tried it, and the speeds are alright, but it brings the handheld to a fever pitch after a while). It has more than one purpose besides modifying tethering.
