RAM mounts and the 6800

Anybody have any experience with RAM mounts for the 6800?

http://www.ram-mount.com/mount/ram_mount_htc_mounts.htm

specifically I want to know if

1 - is the generic holder the best or is there a holder that while not made for the 6800 works better like this or this?

2 - does the generic holder allow for both portrait / land scape

3 - does the generic holder have room for a charger while being held? They imply that it works but it looks like it might be close in this pic.

thanks for any replies \ reviews

I use the Bracketron GripIT vent mount, which works well for me. Its inexpensive anddoes not fall off.

need RAM mounts - that way i can mount multiple ball bases and I can use as a GPS in the boat for fishing where I have no vents.

thanks for the other product info though...

I use a RAM box for my Mogul on my motorcycle. It's waterproof, but you can't see the screen too well... See pic attached. I often use my ProClip mount (interchangeable with the ball attached) in good weather. I am going to modify the RAM box to have a permanent USB plug for charging as I use the device as my GPS. Let me know if you'd like more pics or have other questions.
