Re: how can i get!

I'd like to know this as well. I used to do it all the time w/ my Treo 700WX, but have tried numerous times, numerous ways & it never seems to work. I have gone thru all the tethering threads & tried the different methods to do it, but still unsuccessful.

I'd like the most direct way w/out software or 3rd party apps if possible.

This worked like a charm. Thanks for the link, it was perfect. Now, one more question. Is there anything else I need to do so my carrier won't know I'm doing this? Or does the WifiRouter software take care of that for me? (oops, that's actually 2 questions).

Re: how can i get!

As far as I know, as long as you did everything correctly, the link I posted is an undetectable way of tethering your phone as a modem. As for WMWiFiRouter, I'm honestly not sure because I don't use it. From what I know, it serves the same purpose as Wmodem, an undetectable way of using your phone as a wifi modem.

Re: how can i get!

I have been using the program for about three bill cycles and i use it ALOT! Sprint hasnt said anything yet. I also use this as my router for Xbox360. Im sure if sprint were to really look into it i might get charged. I guess the rumor is now even if you have unlimited data sprint is gonna cap it off at 5gb so be ready for that. Also remember when you use this program its gonna EAT your battery. Also if your gonna use this program with you phone plugged in (charging) its gonna heat your battery up to the point of possible damage (if your orange led is flashing than you need to unplug your phone!!!!!). Make sure your keyboard is open and in my case i place my phone on one of those gel ice packs wrapped in a towel to keep things really cool. (Im working on fabing up a small cooling unit to stick the phone in using some old pc fans...ill post pictures when im done). Good luck with your new router. Oh ya...if you live in an apartment make sure you set a WEP code or people WILL use your connection.

Re: how can i get!

I use PDAnet ($35), and besides the fact that it's simple, it's also the most efficient tool to bypass tethering fees, but for VZW customers, that wouldn't be recommended as VZW tracks tethering. plus no WiFi necessary.
