I NEED SOME SERIOUS Help... Question about Lost Phones and Security Codes
Sorry to type in all caps...
I lost my phone on Sunday... I don't know how or wear... I had one of those rubberized belt clips for my phone, the 2 piece ones with a front and a back. Sometime between 3:00pm at church, and 5:20pm at home, I lost my phone. Somehow it was either pulled off or I clipped it on something. It would take a lot of force for anything like that to happen, but it did. When I left my house to go back to Church, I looked down at my belt, while I was pulling off in my car, and saw the back half of the case still clipped to my belt, minus the phone. Blessing for me is that I had the code set on it, so no one can access it after 5 minutes... And if they mess up the code, 8 times, it will kill the data on the phone. the question I have, is will it wipe the Secure Digital card too? I am hoping it does, but does anyone know this for sure? |

what password program are you using? and if it is just a program, couldnt they just hard reset it?

Re: I NEED SOME SERIOUS Help... Question about Lost Phones and Security Codes
If the program you used for security has the option to "kill" the card when it clears the ROM then yes. If they do a hard reset, that would wipe out the internal EEPROM with all of the data, but not the card. So, needless to say, the data on the card is somewhat vulnerable.
