Question Backup Battery

I have a quick question about the HTC Titan and yes I have searched and couldn’t find anything.

Does this phone have a backup battery? This is my second or third windows mobile device, my first pda phone. All of the other devices I’ve had have had a backup battery that allowed for 30min of time when the main battery goes dead. It was not user accessible, but I always found that it was a good safety net when I let the battery run too low.

Thanks all!

Re: Backup Battery

afaik no it does not, and it shouldn't need one as all the data in the phone is stored in flash that does not need a constant power supply to keep data. you can safely let the battery run dead (or remove it for an extended period) and your phone should not lose data.

Re: Backup Battery

I've never heard of a backup battery that lets you use your phone when your main battery goes dead. However, when I click on the battery icon in the top bar, I get this display:

Re: Backup Battery

Holo hit the spot, however some phones are starting to come out that have 2 removable batteries.
not to get off topic, but It actually really makes sense, since we all have multiple batteries anyway... also i would think that 2x 1000mah batteries would ultimately outperform 1x 2000mah, as there would be less heat generated, thus extending the life of the bat.

Re: Backup Battery

Mine shuts off on me when the main battery dies, HKLM\System\State\Battery is where the battery is in the registry. Mine is set to 1 for backup
