Is there a way to map the DPad?

I've searched and searched and have come up empty so far. I'm using a Sprint Mogul.

I want to map the DPad to other (or any) activities like launching my call history, etc.

Is there a way to do this in the device, or is there an application out there that will do it for me?

Thanks for any help you can offer...

Ok, I guess that's a no.

Surprised this isn't something used more regularly...

AE Button Plus will allow you to remap almost all the buttons(including the d-pad). And to boot there is an unlimited trial.

* intercept almost any standard button: application buttons, WM5 SoftKeys, Volume slider, Action and even Red/Green phone buttons
* distinguish up to 4 different keypress events on each button grabbed (single, double, triple and "long" keypresses).
* remap each of the keypress events to "virtual" application button or assign them directly to one of the wide set of built-in actions.

There is no OEM application to directly access the call history. Here is a call history exe. Just drop it in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Then it will show up in AEButton programs
