The only download I can find for this is gmm.jad. Is there a cab file install package for this?

Use PIE and go to http://m.google.com/maps and download to your phone or sd card. It should automatically run after download.

Thanks, it worked that way. Usually I can download the cabs from the mobile site, and then copy and install later.

Yeah, I don't like the new icon either. That was one of the things I was all excited for too.
