How to remove adware and change jog wheel to adjust volume?

Hi all, I just got a sprint mogul a few days ago and got a few questions.

1) How do I remove the adware (getgood, ondemand, java, music, software store, telenav)? On the 6700, I use totalcommander to go to extend_rom and reinstall the cab files, I tried it on the mogul and it doesn't work like that anymore.

2) Is there anyway, ANYWAY! to change the scroll wheel on the side to adjust your ringer volume? If I have to put it to silent or vibrate, it seems the only way is to do it manually from the today screen. I miss my 6700 because of this.

Help? Thanks in advance.

Re: How to remove adware and change jog wheel to adjust volume?

I have two solutions

FIRST, look for pimbackup, run it, backup all your contacts and messages, and hardreset the phone by pressing reset and the front two buttons that have a dot on them (they are on the face, i forgot what they are called :p).

When the phone is reset, simply press the reset button again before the 3 second customization timer runs out. You can also install a no2chem rom, thats my best suggestion.

SECOND, use TCPMP for media play back... this way you can assign scroll to volume. To save extra battery life and not leave TCPMP play back, i suggest you download wktask and set backlight off to something convenient, but remember to cut the battery saver option off that cuts the phone off after a certain time limit.

I've found a solution! This allows you to assign one of your buttons on the side to allow you to switch from ringtone -> vibration -> silent.
