Speedtest.net jacked up?

I think so.

LMAO.

Now. Note that each of those is a link to speedtest.net's actual site. These aren't fake. And they are all different locations.

Sure, I'm tethering fast. But not THAT fast by ANY means! Its not possible with Rev A! LOL

Re: Speedtest.net jacked up?

Yeah, I shut my wifi switch off long before trying this.

And had it been my home connection, I'd have gotten a speed test of 30+down/3Mbit up.

Re: Speedtest.net jacked up?

I've seen this happen at other speed test sites when you run it multiple times and your browser cached the files. Not sure if Speedtest.net is setup to avoid this problem or not...maybe you just live in a parallel universe that is faster than ours!

Re: Speedtest.net jacked up?

Well, Sprint is supposed to have a 12 meg connection coming 'soon' says my local Sprint Store employee. Hopefully it'll be possible in the next couple months to achieve these speeds!

Edit: Then again, he also said the Raphael and the Diamond are coming out in June... I suppose we'll see how it goes.

Re: Speedtest.net jacked up?

the way speedtest works is it gives you your speed in bits no bytes. if you want to know your real speed devide your speedtest speed by 8. thats your real speed.

I think most members are aware of that but thanks for restating. I wonder if somehow it's not tethering from your phone or something.

that doesnt mean its not a "real" speed. Its just that they measure in Kb/s instead of KB/s.

and yeah those are crazy speeds, way beyond what even Rev. B is spec'd at.
