Deleting Email messages doesn't work?

I have two POP3 accounts set up on the standard Pocket Outlook. They are set to delete messages from the server when I delete them from my device.

The problems:
1. The messages are deleted from my device, but never get deleted from the mail server.
2. The messages show up again as UNREAD when the phone checks again for new messages.

Any suggestions?

BUMP

My phone just downloaded 20 messages AGAIN that I had already read and deleted from the device days ago. WTF?

With some email clients using pop3, you have to manually delete the message on your device, and then again on the server. Some have the option to do both, but you have to have the option set up on the website, and on your device. For your second issue, if you change the option from say keep mail for a certain number of days, to another, it will redownload your emails for the new period of time you set it for. Hope this rambling makes sense.

I did set the option on Pocket Outlook to delete messages from the server when I delete them from my device.

Also, I have not changed the number of days to keep messages on the device since I originally set it.
