xv6800 + Live Search
 

Hi,

I just got a xv6800 and installed live search. When i use Live search and try to type locations I can only type symbols, like the fn key is held down. I have done some searching and have found some other people having this issue but no solutions.

Check you ROM version. This was a problem is the 2.09 ROM but not any others.
ROM version can be found @ Start Menu->Settings->System->Device information. The only way to fix it is to upgrade to a newer ROM. I believe that Verizion has different ROM #s, but I believe the issue is with the particular ROM that you are using

For the stock Rom they have a fix

I have ROM# 2.09.605.

Thats most likely the issue. I have thought about upgraded the ROM so i can get GPS in Google Maps and Live Search. I assume that that would fix this issue as well.

All the guides seem to be directed toward the Sprint Mogul version. can I use this on my xv6800 as well?
