Re: Texting Freeze up.
Any Ideas on whats happening? I still can only get to about 25 characters and the phone freezes up. It doesn't matter if I am writing a text or email, it just freezes. The only way to free it is a soft reset which only seems to unfreeze the phone and not solve the problem.
Please help! |

Re: Texting Freeze up.
Sorry, I don't ever use the stylus. I mean, that's why I have the Mogul... the integrated hardware keyboard.

Re: Texting Freeze up.
I have used the stylus keyboard a couple of times, but I have had no problems with it.

Re: Texting Freeze up.
The stylus keyboard is not my problem, the phone freezing up while writing with either the stylus of the keyboard is. 15 to 25 characters in it locks up...WTF?
I may just resort to a hard reset....I really don't want to have to reinstall everything...oi! |

Re: Texting Freeze up.
I had this happen to me yesterday. Try to text, it freezes while typing.
Called Tech, they said it is probably due to a corruption of the texting program The only fix that we came up with was a Hard Reboot. I did and it works like new again. Back up your contacts. Put your pics and other files on your extended memory card. To do a hard reboot: Start--Settings--System--"Clear Storage" Follow directions on screen. |

Re: Texting Freeze up.
is it possible that it can also be autocomplete too? try disabling autocomplete by going to
start -> settings -> input -> second tab my xv6700 did that all the time, until I disabled autocomplete |

Re: Texting Freeze up.
Sounds like the word index for auto complete became corrupt, you'd be surprised how common that is with Windows Mobile devices. It'll severely slowdown your ability to type. The only known solution is to access the Word Completion settings via Settings/Personal/Input/Word Completion and click the button "Clear Stored Entries" that'll reset the word index and you should immediately notice typing works remarkably smoother. Of course you could just keep word completion turned off, but that'd just stink.
