anti virus software
 

just wonderin does anybody knows a good antivirus software for the mogul or currenting using one right now. free software though. no trial software been there done that, please asap thanks

Do you really need it? How many virus's are written for Windows CE? I never have thought about that.
Call firewall yes but antivirus no. I know I have loaded lots of questionable apps over the years but never had a issue.
*Edit* Look here at Trend Micro or Symantec.
Still think its unnecessary.

I used Symantec Anti-Virus on my titan to scan the programs I have installed and then removed it as it slowed my titan down too much.

I think there have only been 2, yes 2, virus for ppc's. One was created to prove that it could be done.

So ultimately I wouldn't worry about your phone getting a bug.

check out kaspersky.com; they have a mobile anti-virus, firewall, anti-spam, and anti-theft package. Pretty nifty, and it has a thirty-day trial.

Yeah I agree with coz..

But if you really wanted to you could use bitdefender mobile. I used it for a while and I guess its pretty cool. I just checked the site and I guess now they are on version2 and they are charging for it. I have version1 and its totally free and updates itself from the desktop then when you connect you device it updates on the device.
I also tried googling for the older version so I could post a link but Im not finding it anywhere. Ill just attach mine. Good thing I never deleted it from my computer.

Its an exe file that needs to be run on your pc. Then it will install on your device. The exe will install the updater and everything on your pc.

When I installed that one some of the options were shaded out for the trial.
Mods I can assure you that the older version I am posting is not a warez program or anything similar against site rules. I downloaded from their website April 07.

Last time I used it the program still updates and everything. Though that was like 4 months ago.

You know what's ironic, I thought about PPC viruses last night and I also asked myself if there was an anti virus program out for PPCs.
