Mobile Firefox?

Does anyone know the news on Mobile Firefox aka Fennec for WM5/WM6? Also what browser would you recommend for use on the Sprint Mogul?

you could sign up for skyfire and hope you get an invite i never did. currently i am using netfront 3.5 and alot of people like opera mini or opera mobile. the reason i am using netfront is because it has awesome scrolling and it has tabbed browsing but if you have more than like 5 programs installed it runs out of memory. also if you like the idea of spb pocket plus or just want it for the internet theres is pretty similar to netfront.

Hey SBR I never got my invite either so i emailed them and this is a copy of what they sent me I hope it helps you figure out where you are on their list

Dear Beta User,

This email is in response to your inquiry about when you will receive
your invitation to download Skyfire We apologize for the long wait.
When you get the invitation to download the beta depends when you signed
up. Please look at your beta confirmation email, and if it's dated
between January 28 - March 1, you are in the Beta 1 program, and your
invitation to download is coming. If it's dated after March 1, you are in
Beta 2 which will launch this summer.

We know that we said we would fulfill all of Beta 1 by the end of
April, however, it’s going to take us a bit longer to get to everyone. We
have been hard at work on Skyfire 0.6 as well as moving to our new
data center and building out our infrastructure. Now, we can put a more
finished released, Skyfire 0.6, into the larger beta community and we
can accelerate the pace of our invitations to download to the Beta 1
community.

We are anxious to get Skyfire 0.6 on your phone. When that happens, we
look forward to hearing what you think. Your feedback will help us
create an even better Skyfire 1.0.

Thank you for your patience and understanding; we truly believe we are
worth the wait that is almost over!

Thanks,
Skyfire Support

Netfront 3.5 only exists as a concept version (for now). Anything else is just mislabled. It is available directly from their site.

Re: Mobile Firefox?

I signed up for the Skyfire beta on Jan 29 and just got the text message invite today. I played with it for a while and was rather disappointed. I primarily use google reader and neither the full version nor the mobile version of reader is easily navigated in Skyfire yet. I get a much better experience with the mobile version on opera mobile. I'm hoping for a public beta of opera 9.5 soon.

I also received an email. Here's part of it:
"In the next 24 hours you will receive an SMS (text) message from Skyfire on your phone. Click on the link in the SMS to download the Skyfire browser. If you don’t receive our SMS, our customer support team will be notified and we will follow up via email with further instructions on how to complete your account and download the Skyfire browser."
