formatting micro sd cards

I have a class 6 micro sd card and it works great. I got a reader for my compuuter so I could transfer ffiles onto the card faster. Problem is the computer wont recognize the card because its in RAW format. Do I need to format the card to fat32?

Re: formatting micro sd cards

You could try to format it as a FAT16 card first if you are worried about the compatibility. If that does not work, then use FAT32. I use FAT32 for my cards because I use them for flashing my Mogul.
