Re: hookup Mogul to wireless router

not sure if that's able to be done..but i do 'believe' using wmwifirouter, makes the phone able to have numerous wifi enabled computers to connect. i'm guessing your reason for wanting to connect it to a different router is for signal strength. This reason is why i attempted the same, but unsuccessfully.

Wmwifirouter can only handle one client computer under ad-hoc. It can handle more if you connect it to an access point (with dhcp/etc disabled on the AP and run through wm).

To answer your actual question, no, it is not possible. The wireless routers that have USB ports have them only for the purpose of sharing external hard drives, and sometimes printers. They have no functionality for connecting to the internet through that port, and even if they did they wouldn't have the necessary drivers to be able to use the phone-as-modem functions of the Mogul.

The only way it could theoretically be done is with a router that someone manages to hack to run Linux, then builds that functionality into it (assuming the USB host can be accessed in such a way), and builds and installs the appropriate Linux drivers for the phone.

But out of the box? No, can't be done.

I have routinely used the ctr-350 in PAM mode http://www.cradlepoint.com/techsuppo...350support.php
