Not getting text notifications

I have a XV6800 with custom no2chem built in ppckitchen. I am getting no text notifications of any kind. I've tried changing settings in Sounds & Notifications as well as with and without PhoneAlarm and PhoneWeaver. I get no popup notification, no sound, nothing. PhoneWeaver I think at least had a number showing there was 1 unread message, but no sound to let me know.

I've searched but can't seem to find others with this problem or any solutions.

I'm having this exact same problem with this ROM. Very annoying to have to keep looking at the screen. Anyone have a fix for this?

Sorry you are having the same trouble, but glad to hear that I'm not the only one. Perhaps that increases the chances for a solution. Yeah, I keep getting texts hours late just because I don't check for them. Irritating. With phonealarm I didn't even get the counter on the today screen showing a new text and I wouldn't know until I went into Messaging. With phoneweaver, I'm at least getting a counter that works.

Need help! Anyone out there know how to fix this? I'm thinking about trying a hard reset and just see if it works before I install any additional apps.

Ok I figured out what's causing this. If I have threaded text on, I get notifications. If I turn it off, I don't. Anyway to fix this? Thanks in advance.

I'll post over in the thread for the ROM/kitchen I'm using.

have you found an answer other than enabling threaded sms?

i dont like the threaded SMS...too laggy...even with 5067 and 8MB pagepool.

threaded sms can't be the reason cause i use it and i still have the same issues.

That happened to me when I did a flash w/ 5060. When I flashed to 5067 everything was golden.

I haven't tried anything else. As long as I keep threaded sms on, I get the notifications. I don't like how laggy it is either, but I just settled on it. Sorry I can't help further.
