Cant send email using wifi only using sprint

i can recieve messages into my sprint pcs account on my phone, but when i try to send a message it gives me an error. has anyone else encountered this problem. i first noticed it when i was trying to use the nuemms over my wifi and it wont send but when i do it over sprint cell service it works! i just realized that none of my other accounts will send over wifi either.

I sorta have that issue. I have my work email set up on my home computer and in the phone. If I try to send an email it won't send from my home computer but I can't receive. I thought that it was because I was using outlook 2007. I noticed the same thing when I have my phone connected to wifi but it sends when I connect to sprint. Leads me to believe it's a firewall issue somewhere in my home network.

The mogul is just fn up!! Sometime I have to go back and change my password again in options because it somehow changes on its own!!!

If you change your outgoing smtp settings under options to the network's your using, you should be able to send email via wifi. If you don't, it will try to send it over sprint's network (smtp.sprintpcs.com).

504boi, I'm guessing when you say it's changing your password you're talking about how there are more asterisks than what there should be? It's not changing your password, it just makes it harder for someone snooping around on your phone to guess is by adding the asterisks.

I have set my outgoing smtp settings, im using comcast and i have it set to smtp.comcast.net. Still im not able to send messages on wifi, i check my settings for that email account and i have Network Connection set to "The Internet". Is this setting affecting it, i also have Sprint, and Work, should i try one of those? Thanks
