Mogul with bad ESN
 

Someone told me that there are instructions here for changing an ESN? I was ripped off on Ebay and purchased an HTC Mogul with bad ESN. Can anyone help?

are you sure the esn is bad? i got mine on ebay where the auctioneer said the esn was bad, but it activated right away with vzw

Oh yeah. I know it's bad. Unfortunately, this seller DID NOT tell it was a bad esn. I purchased it and have tried to activate it several times. I have Sprint.

Next time, call sprint before buying and ask them to check the ESN for you.

Yes, No doubt a lesson learned! At least they refunded the money! Just wish I could use the phone! It looks REALLY cool!

I wouldn't bother with changing the ESN. If you ever have to bring your phone in for service, the sticker on the outside will not match the ESN on your account.

You got your money back, just buy another one, but get the ESN first.

If u clone an esn, u shouldn't take it in for service period obviously. Just take care of your phone. If it messes up then you're just screwed.
