Mogul Won't Charge while using internet

I did a search and have not found a positng for this. I just noticed that if I have my mogul charging on the car charger while streaming or surfing the internet, the phone does not charge. I received the dreaded Flight mode and the phone would turn off. I checked to make sure it was recognizing the car charger, but when I connected to the dataplan, the phone would stop charging. My Apache allowed me to stream and charge the phone at the same. Is this a glitch. I use the phoen for long road trips and I need to be able to use the car charger to keep battery charged. Any suggestions?

You charger is simly not cutting the power requirement of your Mogul, you need a more powerful charger.

I have the same problem when using Navizon. Can anyone recommend a good car charger for the mogul.

Re: Mogul Won't Charge while using internet

yea, I second this with the use of Navizon. I use an inverter with the regular charger and does same thing, drains. But, yet the inverter can handle my Macbook Pro..... i don' t know.....

I'm having the same issue but when connected to my laptop and tethering. If I disconnect, connect to AC and then reconnect it charges for a while...

Re: Mogul Won't Charge while using internet

I also had this problem while connected to wall outlet. i took the phone into Sprint and they could not figure it out, so they gave me a new mogul. I have been unable to find the post that had the cabs/configuration for the tweaks such as truning off the 3rd party warning, increase video frame, etc. I believe it gave the registry changes using a reg editor such as total commander. I did search, with no luck.

I think I was having the same problem, if I tethered for a long period of time my phone would eventually die. I believe that it's due to the fact that my battery would eventually overheat because I was putting such a large load on the battery at the same time as it was charging. I think I found a solution though, I spent yesterday removing anything I didn't need from my today screen and I also turned off all the LED's except the reminder one. Last night my phone stayed tethered and even had a full charge this morning. I will test it again tonight, last night I tethered using USB tonight I might try using WI-FI to see if the WI-FI card being on puts to large of a load on the battery.

I also downloaded a little freeware program that tells me the stats on my battery and the temp and graphs the results. I haven't tried the application out yet but if it works correctly I will be able to see the results of my tests.
