Dictionary, T9, keypad and TouchPad
 

after upgrading the ROM from VZW stock to DCD 3.0.1 I lost dictionary/auto_completion capabilities.
I searched online for a while but couldn't find posts about it. weird. in fact it was a trivial problem and finally I figured out it was in a tab of the input. /me stupid! ](*,)

besides I came up w/ the idea to use T9 like in my old Nokia. (sometimes using the stick is a real hassle, especially when wasted:drunken:)

and installed the intellipad but cannot get rid of the annoying keypress sound from menu, had to go to
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\IntelliPad\
and put sound reg_key to 0

after I downloaded and installed the TouchPal (from cootek site).
I used it for a little while and it looks great. T+ rocks and it's free. T9 only in pro version, in trisl for a few days.
I'll use TouchPal for some days and decide if it works for me.

But,, I can tell you a secret,,

If you hold the phone with 2 hands sideways and push with your thumbs, there is an actual keyboard hiding under there that is a whole lot easier to use than the stylus and screen.

i retouched the T9 mode, and put it to the "Phone Pad - English Only.CAB" from FTP so this is T9 English only!

ADDED: International T9 for German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Nowegian, Swedish (file attatch below)
ADDED: VGA version

2/ the 2nd cab is make vibrate when you touch the numbers in the dialpad (dial call), i love this so i make this for wm6 (didnt try to uninstall this)

Tested only on my hermes, hope it works for you too!
