Is there a way to sync/pull your contacts from GMail into the phone email account?

Well now I'm having a problem where I can't enter a domain name in order to push the emails through. Anybody know why the domain spot is blanked out where I can't type anything?

I don't know if you would really want to sync your gmail contacts, since Gmail basically auto-creates a contact for every person you have a conversation with.
