today start menu issue - removed programs

I notice that when I remove a program - it's icon still shows in the lower half of the start menu (most recently used programs sections). Of course when I select that icon nothing happens as the program has been removed but apparently not the icon.

See my screen image - the two programs I have removed are Cool Camera and RealONe Player - they have been removed from the device

Is there a way to edit/delete icons in that lower section of the start menu?

soft reset and see if it disappears.

If im not mistaken that middle list is for recent programs. So try opening up a few other programs and the list should change.

If you can't get it to go away go to windows Start Menu and delete it from there.

Download the freeware clear temp. it will clear the list of recent used programs and all your temp folders, caches and dead sips. also it will remove the left behind files after an uninstall.

I figured that would work but you have to open 5 programs to push one of the list - kind of a nusisance

thanks - can you provide a link to that program? Googling "clear temp" doesn't help - too generic of a search
