freezing... :(

I have igo 2006 installed on my sprint mogul and I love it, except it tends to freeze up my device, expecially when it has to recalculate the route...
Should i delete other stuff to free up space or could it be another problem?
I have it installed on my memory card.. but i do have a lot of other programs like photocontacts pro that runs in the background, should I get rid of that?

Re: freezing... :(

it's really difficult to tell..there is no magic answer.
try experimenting by removing one program at a time, to see if you get any improvement.
also try a program like MemMaid, to manage your memory and other critical system settings..

Check the instructions that comes with iGO, with 256MB of storage on the device, you should not need to install the program to the storage card (only the maps). Reinstall to main memory (remember that this will not use up any more of your precious active program memory) and run it. Problems might go away. iGo is a pretty memory intensive app. If your main memory is falling below that specified on the company website an alternative GPS program is probably warranted.

I have tried iGo an felt that it loaded slower and was buggier than iGuidance.
