No sound on phone calls?

Last sunday my phone did something weird. I was trying to call a friend for some directions and the phone dialed out and said connected, but i couldnt hear anything. Not even ringing. I tried him a couple times and another friend, same thing. I finally called from my wifes phone and got through and didnt use my phone the rest of the night. Worked fine the next morning so i didnt think anything about it.

Well today its doing it to me again. I tried to call out and it says connected but i cant hear anything. tried my wife, my voicemail, sprint cust service, no sound. I soft booted several times and same issue. Pulled the battery and rebooted, called my voicemail and it worked, but then i tried to call out again and nothing. Pulled the batt again and this time same issue on reboot. Cant get any calls to go through.

I checked my sound settings, all are fine. Tried the speakerphone and my headset, neither of them get sound either. But i can play music fine and all system sounds and key beeps come out just fine. if i get a call in, the ringer goes off, but if i answer, nothing.

Any ideas? Im on no2chems alpha rom, running a few apps but no radio changes or anything. Was working fine and then just went out one day. Havent made any changes in that time. Any ideas?

The same thing happens to me sometimes. It even happens on the stock rom with minimal apps installed. I chalked it up to another bug with either the Mogul or WM6. It's annoying, but usually calling back corrects it and it doesn't happen too often.

I have the Katana (waiting for my mogul to come in), I think it must be a sprint problem, not mogul or WM6, because this happens to me pretty often on a non ppc phone

its happened to me on other phones for maybe a minute or 2. Usually hanging up and calling back will work. But this has been going on for about 3 hours today. This is the first time its ever done this for this long. And no amount of rebooting seems to work.

I have had this exact same issue. It has been happening more often on the new 2.17 rom. If I reboot the device, it comes back fine. Really annoying.

I'm running my own custom rom and have never had that happen, but my brother in law, running stock 2.09 has had that problem. Soft resetting got him audio again. Obviously not a fix as we're not sure of the issue, but it got him going again.

yeh.. i have had that problem on stock and custom roms.. 2.16 and 2.17 based..

It will connect the call, the other person will be talking, but I can't hear them.
Soft resetting does seem to resolve it but its so annoying to have to wait to reboot to make a call. What if you needed to dial 911? *sigh*

Re: No sound on phone calls?

Mine is doing this right now after the latest upgrade...soft reset didn't help.
