Direct Push Question

I would like to set up Direct Push using my spintpcs e-mail account. How would I go about this?

Re: Direct Push Question

As far as i know you cant.

You need to have an Exchange server to support Direct Push, and Im fairly certain the Sprint does not provide this for their @sprintpcs.com accounts.

Look at Mail2web.com, or 4smartphone.net for Hosted exchange accounts.

Re: Direct Push Question

Is it possible to set up a work around direct E-mail at all or anything else because I have my yahoo set up and I don't get all the emails to my phone or they don't go to the intended target in a timely fashion.

Re: Direct Push Question

Flexmail and IMAP Idle works fine. Flexmail hogs memory, and would have to be put in your startup folder to work.

Is there a link or website for one of these?

Re: Direct Push Question

I currently use mail2web.com as a backup exchange server since it's free, but I have had problems with using SSL on the DCD3.0.1 custom ROM. It seems to send multiple email copies out sporadically. If I turn off SSL authentication, then all is well--would you want to do that?

I use the Exchange 2007 server setup at our office to handle my primary emails. I also have my GMail forwarded to my Exchange account. Is there a way for the PPC email client to differentiate the forwarded emails and toss them into a different account that is setup?
