If you are using any of the official or cooked updated ROMS the sdhc cards work fine. At least, my 6GB has since the updated ROMs. On WM5 I could not get anything bigger than a 2GB card working unless I installed a driver. No such driver needed on WM6.

If anyone out there is still on the official Sprint ROM chime in to correct me on this one.

Re: What's the best GPS application 4 my Mogul???

Garmin sucks. It doesn't show the next maneuver until I am close enough. This way i don't know whether to stay on the left lane or the right lane. This is big problem in local roads. Not to mention the slow map rendering. People who are recommending Garmin has clearly not used nicer gps systems like Magellan ( real gps version only). For PDA go with I-go, tomtom or iguidance (has tts) .

I use Destinator:
http://www.destinatortechnologies.net/uk/products/

You can load separate maps onto it and they cover most of the world.

I use Google maps. It doesn't have turn previews but it is neat to see it working while on a walk.

Re: What's the best GPS application 4 my Mogul???

alrighty then.. i've just given both Garmin XT and iGuidance the college try.
iGuidance is the better app (IMO).. the maps are MUCH smoother, and displays all street names, not just the major ones (annoyance with Garmin in the lack of street lables, unless zoomed ALL the way it..)
iGuidance was excellent in the way it gives you PLENTY of time for advanced turns, and will even notify you 2, or 3 times, depending how far ahead your next turn is.
love the TTS announcements.. incredible.
The maps were smooth, same NavTeq map database as garmin.
I did like the lookup functions of Garmin a little better than iGuidance though. iGuidance 'contact' lookup was a little awkward..
iGuidance had a MUCH better POI display.. i was able to click on any POI while in route, and it would display a window of the phone number and detail of that POI..
couldn't seem to do that with Garmin..

all in all, i am sticking with iGuidance, and un-installing Garmin.
reasons : Real street name announcements, very early warning turn notification, smooth interface and excellent map rendering..

Re: What's the best GPS application 4 my Mogul???

mapquest does not show a moving map
however, while navigating, it precaches and renders any pertinant roads, as well as most intersecting roads. it doesnt' seem entirely consistent, but it will usually display the name of the next road within a quarter mile.
i found it funny that it had mapped a defunct rest area that's now just a grassy knoll.
