Thumbs down Bluetooth - on device list, won't let me use as hands free

Ok, this is probably really stupid, but I can't get the the phone and the headset to work (they worked when I first paired them).

The phone and bluetooth are on, I even re-added the device as a device and for some reason it doesn't let me use the hands free during calls. Any ideas?

Re: Bluetooth - on device list, won't let me use as hands free

Try a soft reset, I have had issues at times with my bluetooth devices where one minute its working the next it stops. I think this is dew to reaching a point where the available RAM gets low. Try keeping programs closed when you are using bluetooth devices. A soft reset always fixes this for me. I hope that helps.

Re: Bluetooth - on device list, won't let me use as hands free

also try the "Set as" setting in the bluetooth device list. Comm manager> Menu > Bluetooth. Press and hold on the device listing, you'll get a pop up list.

I have the Plantronics 855, and use it with several different devices. Sometimes the phone (or my desktop's BT dongle) 'forgets' which BT profile it should be using. This always resets it.

If your headset has multi-point connections, you can connect to more than 1 device at a time. ie: I often set my stereo gateway to my desktop and hands free to my phone. Call comes in, my desktop's music auto-pauses while I take the call, then resumes automagically.

Hope that helps.
