Sprint software deleter?

I just got my very first WM cellphone, the HTC Mogul (aka Titan), and I'm a little overwhelmed with it so far. My last cellphone was about as powerful as a watch calculator, so this is very different.

Before I start flashing custom roms to it, which is a little much for day one, I figured I would ask if anyone has made software that just deletes all the crap sprint covers the phone with. I don't want terrible ugly yellow backgrounds and sprint logos all over the place.

If this is impossible, I guess I'll try one of the wm6.1 roms and break my phone on day one.

Re: Sprint software deleter?

welcom my friend. since you are a newbie, i wont suggest you start with flashing ROMS. the changes you mentioned doed not require flashing . Those are just options that you can easily change. you can also click on the mogul on the top of this screen and you will find a wealth of info on your phone. Try doing a search for Efrost programs. He is pretty good and i'm sure his mods will excite you. Good luck

Re: Sprint software deleter?

Since you just got it and you probably dont have anything on it.
DO a hard re-set (pressing the two soft keys while hitting the reset button) When the unit comes back to life and you do the screen alignment and date and stuff, hit the reset button again when it gives you the 3 second countdown for the Sprint Customization. When it re-sets it will be the standard WM6.0 Rom.

Re: Sprint software deleter?

I did the same thing, resetting before the Sprint Customizations started, to mine last week when I flashed the new 3.35 ROM and everything is just fine. It doesn't load the Sprint Music Store or AudibleAir, but the phone itself works great. EVDO connections are fine, Bluetooth is fine, WiFi works great too.
