Re: htc 6800 hung up

For starters try a soft reset. If that doesn't do the trick and it continues to hang, then you might be ready for a hard reset.

Keep us posted.

late,
Coz

Re: htc 6800 hung up

move the photos to your memory card first. Use file explorer for that. Then to hard reset, press down and hold the two soft keys next to the green and red buttons while holding in the reset button until the white screen with the blue lettering pops up. Then follow the instructions on screen to clear all data.

Everything will be wiped off the phone. It'll be restored to factory settings. Picutres, contacts, etc. will be deleted.

The question is,, and I apologise if this sounds harsh... but ...........

If you call it a 6800, then your phone is either alltel or verizon...
if its stuck at the sprint screen, then obviously you tried to flash a sprint rom to your phone...

if thats the case that is cool.. but ..........

and again no offense,,, if you dont know how to do a hard reset on your phone, I would suspect you should probably read quite a bit more through the forums before venturing too far into flashing,,,

again,, I dont mean any disrespect,, just some honesty,,,
but if this is not the case,, and you do actually have a sprint mogul, and are with sprint,,, then please elaborate more on your problem..

ie.
what rom is on the phone.. stock? newest oem release? dcd? etc...
did you flash something? or did you just wake up and it started doing it?

all taken care of there boss, no worries, im new to the whole ppcgeek deal, but im fairly handy with computers.
I tried to put an animated startup screen on my phone and it kept restarting soooo what i did was a gard reset and reinstalled everyhting on it.
Yes im with sprint. Ive seen several people on here calling the mogul a 6800, so ill just cal it the mogul from now on, sounds like the correct term for it.
So now that embarrassing moment is out of the way, hit me up with some awesome programs to use.
btw i cant get the youtube(flash) program to work on my phone. any ideas....
