GPS (Google Maps or Live) In The Pacific Northwest

Guys.

I have not been able to lock in on satellites with the exception of once momentarily when I was driving through Vancouver, BC. I've used all the standard utilities (i.e., GPS Utilities, GPS Viewer, etc), but none has yielded persistent results. Has anyone been successful with sat locks in the Western Washington area using GM or LS with the latest DCD ROM running on Verizon's network? If so, please, please do instruct.

I am on sprint running dcds rom and live in western washington and have no problems picking up gps with google maps or microsoft live. i dont see why verizon should be different for gps but i dont know much about it?
