SLOOOOOOWWWWW data.. help!

I just switched to sprint and upgraded my mogul to the latest ROM (official).. When I connect to the web, my speeds suck.. I tested 3 times today in random areas in my calling area, and my speeds were all around 200 down and 600 up...

My phone is completely stock.. brand new mogul with the 3.35 rom... Any advice on how to get my speeds up?

I went into EPST and set it to enable, yes.

There's something throttling the download I think.. upload is great, but I have no idea why the down speed is getting killed so bad.

do not set rev a to enable in epst because it means its disabled. This has been explained many times in this forum. Also make sure you set your HA (Home agent) to something closer in your area (Do a search for it here) and you can also try setting your dns servers to something other than sprint's (Recommended dns server ip address 4.2.2.1). That should help somewhat with speeds, also keep in mind others may be using the net at the same time (tethering or using sprint tv) so try during the night or at a different location. Good luck

Re: SLOOOOOOWWWWW data.. help!

Searched for "Home Agent", couldn't find anything useful. I avg 400k down str8 to the phone. Is there a post that's part of a larger thread that addresses changing your home agent? I searched withing the threads that I got, but again, nothing useful.

Re: SLOOOOOOWWWWW data.. help!

Thanks! This might help when I get a laptop this Christmas, but for now, it won't help with data direct to phone. Thank you though, as I will use this later!

Re: SLOOOOOOWWWWW data.. help!

Problem resolved... After an hour on the phone with sprint and 2 programming resets, it started working.

I think the store I bought my phone from programmed it for my old cell number, but the port didn't go through yet.
