Re: usb tether for linux (xbox)
Try using WMWIFIROUTER.. It will let you use your phone as an ad-havoc wireless access point.. I don't know what gentbox is, but if it is a way to run linux on your XBOX, then you might be SOL, unless you have an external wireless adapter.. Which would be hell to get working..

Re: usb tether for linux (xbox)
He means he is running Linux on his Xbox and wants to use his Mogul as a modem. Not sure how you would go about doing that on an Xbox since it doesn't have wireless and I don't know if there is currently a driver for Linux to recognize the Mogul as a modem when hooked up via USB. You may be able to do it by running WMWiFi and then connecting to the created access point with a Windows machine that has wireless. Then you could use that machine as a gateway to share out the connection but man...sounds like a super beeotch to set up. Just plug in an ethernet cable to the Xbox

Re: usb tether for linux (xbox)
mobile stream USB Modem can be used to connect to linux. It is a program that runs on the Mogul. Just download and follow the instructions.

Re: usb tether for linux (xbox)
thanks for all the replies. i'm going to try mobile stream usb modem tonight when I get back. i'm on the road right now and i'm using my xbox as my portable computer so I don't have a laptop. it'll be nice to be able to access myspace and youtube from a full screen. i've been doing everything from my mogul but it takes longer and doesn't have cd and all that stuff. Well, you get the point
