will magnet ruin?

i bought a cheap leather case for 5 bucks on the street today, but i realized that it "snaps" together with a magnet...obviously its not very strong, and but i wanted to know if its possible that the magnet from the case could mess up my xv6800.

i know theres no hard drive or anything obvious like that, but does anyone know if theres something taht could easily get messed up by a magnet inside?

thanks

Re: will magnet ruin?

Even the stock case included with the Sprint box has a magnetic snap-shut flap. I think it should be fine. I think the only thing that can be messed up is the RAM? I'm not sure what the ROM is made of...

HTC qwerty slider phones use a neodynium magnet to sense the keyboard opening, so there's already a magnet in there. It will be fine.
