SlingPlayer with DTV or Dish Audio Channels?

I'm looking at getting a Slingbox, simply so I can use it with my Mogul. I'm wondering about the audio quality of SlingPlayer Mobile in regards to the digital music (XM) channels that services like DirecTV offer. If the audio quality is high quality, then in essence you have XM satellite radio on your phone via Sling. With the bluetooth audio ability, I assume I could send that audio to my car system (Pioneer 7900BT).

Can anyone share their experiences and the quality of the audio specifically using Sling and the Mogul? Thanks!

Audio quality isn't bad, depending on your signal. If it's an audio-only channel you can turn off the video feed giving you more bandwidth for higher quality audio.

I've mainly used sling mobile for sports but when I have a good set of headphones on with a decent signal the sound is great.

How would you compare it...FM quality, AM quality, telephone, CD?? Have you tried using Bluetooth with your Mogul when using Sling Mobile?

I've used bluetooth a2dp headphones with Sling just fine. Depending on your bandwidth available, slingplayer optimizes for that. The sound usually ranges from FM quality to CD quality I'd say. And if you turn off video, less bandwidth would be required, therefore higher quality.

Yeah, I would agree that it's at least FM quality. I haven't used bluetooth yet though.

Re: SlingPlayer with DTV or Dish Audio Channels?

Sweet! Gonna have to get a Slingbox! With the bluetooth audio function to my Pioneer, it should be like having XM radio as I stream the XM channels from DirecTV! Thanks for the info all!
