Blocking caller ID on Sprint?

Hey, can anyone tell me how to block my outgoing caller ID on Sprint? Now that I have the unlimited everything plan I want to be able to stal...errr..call people without them knowing who is on the phone.

Actually, I just don't want customers to have my mobile number if I need to call them from the road.

Any help would be appreciated!

Dial *67 then the number you want to call and your number will be hidden. Or call Sprint and have them place the block on your account. Then you have to *82 to remove the block on a per call basis.

Re: Blocking caller ID on Sprint?

I tried the *67, but noticed it doesn't block on all systems. (our office phone system for example)

Re: Blocking caller ID on Sprint?

Is your office phone system an 800 number? I don't think you can block calls to toll free numbers.

Re: Blocking caller ID on Sprint?

No, but it does detect DNIS off of the PRI, so perhaps it can't be blocked with that scenario.

Re: Blocking caller ID on Sprint?

if your office system is an 800 number it wont blcok them, i think you cant call private on a 800/866/888 number or 911.

This guy has it all right...I myself have my number as private with sprint so when I call someone that can't see my number except if I dial *82 before the number. But be warned that a lot of people ignore and don't liketo answer private numbers and when you have numbers in your phonebook that you don't remember by mind it is a hassle going in and placing *82 on the numbers you want people to see who is calling

Re: Blocking caller ID on Sprint?

The other problem with having the block placed on by Sprint is when you do program *82 on your outgoing numbers then you can't select those numbers quickly to send send a text. That is why I had the block removed from my account.
