google maps stops updating
Hello,
I recently purchased a holux m1200 gps bluetooth receiver. I am having an issue using it where after a random period of time it stops updating. It looks like the bluetooth connectio is still good, I show fluctuating bw and see the number of satellites received fluctuate too. However, google maps will not begin to update again until I deselect USE GPS on the Menu and then select USE GPS again. I have searched the forums on this, so if i missed something I apologize in advance. I am using a stock VX6800, Holux M1200 Bluetooth GPS reveiver. No external program to launach GPS, just google maps using the com port. Interestingly enough I have tried using Gmaps using the application com port and it never works. The problem exists whether I am using manual or auto-windows. Thanks, W

I have this problem also. I don't think there is a fix. There was another thread on it but did not yield any results.

does it work with other mapping programs fine or does it have problems with others as well?

Livesearch and TomTom6 does not exhibit this symptom.
