Unhappy Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

I was playing with ultimate launcher and wanted to get the HTC home plug to start with ultimate launcher. So I clicked the buton boot on startup (or something to that effect) in the ultimate launcher settings. Well i restrted and now it goes to my password page like always during windows boot. then when i login, it goes right to activesync. then it won't let me do nuttin.

I can not access the sync or menu buttons of avtivesync and it does not sync with windows. This is because it really isn't out of the windows boot yet.

With this rom, it usually goes:
1) Boot Screen
2) Green Windows Boot Screen
3) Enter Password to device
4) Back to Windows Boot Screen for a few seconds
5) Today Screen.

But now it goes right from password being entered to activesync. It is my guess that this is halting the boot process.

is there a way to fix this without hard resetting?

FYI... I am running No2Chem's Rom v 5048.

Thanks

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

search the two ultimate launcher threads, this is a known issue with that particular setting. if you have a safemode app (spb pocket plus has one) then you can boot in safe mode and change the settings. otherwise, check the ul threads, haven't been there in a while, don't know if they came up with a solution or not. i know there was someone on htere that hard reset 3 times before he found that to be the issue.
search, and ye shall find.

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

HAHA, I always search before I ask. Search twice ask once. Ultimate, launcher, boot and Ultimate, Launcher, Activesync came up with nothing. Soo I asked.

I'll go track down those threads now.

Thanks.

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

Yeah I read those two posts already. they briefly touch on the problem with no real solution. one claims that you have 5 seconds after boot to fix the problem. this doesn't work for me since in that 5 seconds I have to login. So fixing it in 1.5 seconds is not happening.

Oh well, looks like a hard reset. Might as well upgrade toi the newest build while I'm t it.

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

I see this problem with SPB Pocket Plus's today plug-in active. It's intensely annoying. It's also very intermittent. I haven't been able to find a fix yet other than disabling the plug-in. But I think it's related to the phone trying to load too many apps at once on startup.

Adjusting the sync settings for activesync dosen't seem to have any effect.

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

I had that same problem heres what i did... and you have to be fast!!! remove the battery, then put it back in. plug into the computer and start it up.. have my computer open, and as soon as it is fully connected click mobile device, my windows mobile deivce, programs file then delete the UL app in there... once complete soft reset, and prob. should be over, but if you take too long then is will freeze and unconnect from activesycn

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

right now in ul i'm running screen 1: pocket digital clock 2 instances of spacer and spb phone suite 1.3 beta. 2: weatherpanel 3:spb pp with three tabs 4: sbsh pocketbreeze set on the notes tab. 5: second instance of pocket breeze runnig the calender tab.
the only gripe i have is that when i soft reset i have to tap the screen to get anything to show. other than that i have noticed i soft reset a little more, but not enough to be annoying. my apache boots with 27m and everything runs smooth. maybe it's more of a device issue. i've never used a mogul, but it seems like they're the ones having the most problems. any thoughts??

Re: Frozen... Boots to activesync and freezes

I think that's because it doesn't load it on boot. probably some memory management feature. I could see not wanting to load weather pannel every time, especcialy if it's not on your main tab.
