New SMS/Emails come up 2nd (under read message)

Recently, when I've been getting new SMS/Emails, they come up as the 2nd item in the list, underneath a previously read message. Does anyone know what causes this and how it can be fixed?

Hi, Try to Click on RECEIVED, it changes the way messages are received by date and time.
